As part of the 14th edition of the festival, SCENE, the first and only entertainment rewards program in Canada presents the Fantasia Under the Stars event, a series of outdoor screenings at the Parc de la Paix (on St-Laurent boulevard between St-Catherine and René-Lévesque). Come celebrate with us during two weeks and enjoy our ten free outdoors screenings!

Screenings will start around 9pm and will be preceded from 7 pm to 9 pm by the SAT [mixsessions] collective featuring : JOCOOL, TAXI NOUVEAU, LIBERTY, THIS IS NOT DESIGN (TIND), VICTORTRONIC, PINK RUBBER LADY ET GUILLAUME B

Black Tuesday July 13

Black is a Senegalese bank-robber born and raised in France. After a phone call from his cousin from Dakar, he fl ies there to organize a heist of contraband diamonds. He is far from being the only ones interested in the diamonds. With a funky soundtrack, BLACK delivers a heist fi lm fi lled with action and peppered with comedy and mysticism.

Keiichi, a giant koala, is a workaholic. When his friend is found stabbed, Keiichi is shortlisted as one of the suspects. Suspicions arise as the police and his boss, the giant white bunny, discover the secrets of the marsupial’s past. The fi lm was a big success in the 2006 edition of the festival.

The Wild Hunt

The Wild Hunt tells the story of Erik, a young man who decides to follow his estranged girlfriend Evelyn into a medieval re-enactment game when he discovers that she has been seduced by one of the players. As the down-to-earth Erik treks deeper into the game in search of his love, he inadvertently disrupts the delicate balance of the make believe fantasy-land.

Repo: The Genetic Opera

In a near future, a worldwide epidemic causes mass panic and organ failure. In an attempt to remediate to the problem, GeneCo, a biotechnology company, offers organ transplant. The different fi nancing options make the transplants affordable; however the company also has a drastic measure in the advent that their clients cannot pay: repossession of said organs by “Repo Man”. This gothic musical stars Alexa Vega, Sarah Brightman, Bill Moseley, Paris Hilton and Nivek Ogre.

The colourful and peculiar history is one fi lled with adventure, horror, and vicious rivalries.

The events keeping Horse from enjoying his special day accumulate and he soon has to fi ght unlikely sea monsters, an angry bear, three mad scientists and a psychopathic matriarch.
