Meet the Vampire Cleanup Department, a motley crew of misfits whose mandate is to clean out the bloodthirsty hopping vampires descending on Hong Kong! They’ve recently recruited a bona fide nobody nicknamed Garbage Bin, who learned he’s immune to vampires after being bitten on his gluteus maximus. On his first assignment, he accidentally awakens a beautiful female vampire with his kiss and blood. Unable to destroy her since his much-prized cell phone has vanished into her tummy, he invites her home instead. Thus begins a blossoming yet parasitic relationship, as she slowly develops human characteristics. Meanwhile, the next blood moon will awaken a powerful vampire leader set on acquiring fresh blood and reclaiming the vampire girl. Will the VCD train Garbage Bin fast enough to take out this powerful demon?

With a brilliant supply of laughter, kung fu, horror and insanity, the classic hopping vampires of Hong Kong cinema are back with a vengeance to bite Fantasia audiences! Forget the bleak, revisionist RIGOR MORTIS, VCD is grounded in the style of the originals, with a charming new romantic twist and fresh, contemporary vigour! Imagine MR. VAMPIRE with a transfusion from WARM BODIES and BUFFY. Prepare yourself for a bloody good time from first-time directors Chiu Sin-Hang and Yan Pak-Wing (writer of Jackie Chan’s FIRST STRIKE), who’ve previously scripted some of the funniest HK films in recent years and keep VCD fast-moving and thrilling. Featuring cast of seasoned veterans whose combined filmography are 50 years of Hong Kong kung fu and comedy classics, including Richard Ng (MR. VAMPIRE 3, RIGOR MORTIS), Chin Siu-Ho (the MR. VAMPIRE series, DEMON OF THE LUTE), Yuen Woo-Ping’s talented brother Yuen Cheung-Yan, Susan Shaw (GALLANTS) and Eric Tsang!
